Tapa

Tapa is made from bark that is beaten with wooden beaters  made specifically for this. Once beaten and shaped, it is painted with various designs, usually using charcoal or wet mud and then dried. Today it is mainly used and worn in big occasions, such as birthdays, weddings, funerals and cultural performances, and proudly hung on walls.
